WALD IN SOMMER

Wandering and mountaineering in the breathtaking countryside. Experience the national park in the changes of the seasons: Shy and green garment of spring changes slowly into rich colours of summer and then into picturesque speech of autumn colours - can there be anything more beautiful?

Light hiking in green mountains of the Pinzgauer or touring in the High Tauren - the movement in the fresh seasoned air of the Alps brings entertainment, tones up muscles and is a programme cosseting your body and soul!

But there is a lot to do not only for the hikers: trained cyclists can use a Tauren cycle route leading from Krimmel to Pasau.

Who still isn't satisfied can let his/her heart beat higher when paragliding or hang-gliding! Or visit one of our trip destinations, for example Observatory and Planetarium in Königsleiten, Königsleiten alpine railways, the Museum of minerals and the grotto in Wald, Großglockner, a game preserve in Ferleiten and Aurach, the Krimmel waterfalls or the pumping hydroelectric power station in Kaprun. Wald in Pinzgau - a place of contentment!

KÖNIGSLEITEN IN SUMMER

Königlseiten, an alpine grassland - and yet a village. In the holiday village, lying in 1.600 m and set between the green mountains of Pinzgauer in the north and the High Tauren in the south, a man surrounded with gentle alpine pastures and mooing cows can find a way back to nature. Königsleiten is an ideal starting point for walking and touring in high mountains in the healthy mountain climate.

Marked tracks leading over stumps and stones to the spectacular heights - a magnificent view of the unspoiled countryside of the Alps and the breathtaking background of the mountains in the national park is a reward for the demanding climb. Breathing deeply, enjoying every minute and returning back to the rhythm of nature. Then jumping into the cooling water of the nearby dam - swimming in wonderfully clear water - all this makes your relaxation perfect.

Read the starry sky and peer into the space distances in the Planetarium and Observatory lying highest in Europe. Comfort and hospitality of the holiday flats accompanied with breathtaking scenery - this is a recipe for your contentment!
